Automatically create your vehicles in Geotab as assets in SafetyCulture and get insight into their telematics.

Gain visibility over your asset's telematics, such as location, and stay on top of your vehicle maintenance by performing scheduled inspections, creating actions, and more. Geotab data in SafetyCulture updates every 12 hours at no additional cost. If you need fresher data, get in touch with a product expert to enable 5-minute updates.Â
Create assets
Each vehicle in Geotab will be created as an asset in SafetyCulture. These assets will be grouped in a new asset type named "Geotab vehicle".
Merge with existing assets
If an existing asset's "Unique ID" is the same as a vehicle's "Vehicle Name", the integration will update the asset with the vehicle details instead of creating a new asset. The existing type for these assets will be updated with the fields required for the integration.
📘 Note: Update timing may vary based on Geotab hardware and connectivity, and syncing is one-way from Geotab to SafetyCulture. This integration currently doesn’t support Geotab trailers and equipment without a Geotab device installed. Syncing is one-way from Geotab to SafetyCulture, and if you uninstall the integration later, any imported data will not be affected.

You can connect your existing assets to the integration by updating the "Unique ID" to match your asset management system's "Vehicle Name" (Samsara, Geotab, or AT&T) or "Equipment ID" (Caterpillar).
Please ensure you update your existing assets before installing the integration to prevent duplicates from being created.
You can view your telematic readings within the asset profile. You can click on a relevant reading to view historical readings, including those pre-dating the installation of your integration, and export them to CSV.
